For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.
This piece of scripture struck a chord in me. Deep, and resonating, and intense.
A call to action and a description of the root of every personal shortcoming I have fostered, in one not-at-all-lengthy sentence.
Sometimes brevity can speak volumes.
So I answer the call and step up to accept the description of what God created my spirit to be. It is a description currently far outside my much-treasured and very small comfort zone, I assure you. Here I record the tales of the journey for myself and my family – success or misstep, silly or sad, it will at least be honest.
