Whoa – where did THAT weekend go!? Saturday was “Prepared Childbirth” – a one-day, all-day class for The Hub and me (I confess, there was lots of snickering from both of us – we are not quite touchy-feely enough for a lot of what was covered, but it was still helpful to have, I am sure.) Blessedly, The Hub took dinner duty after we finished the class and ordered us up a nice pizza and breadsticks (with nacho cheese dipping sauce,) from my favorite pizza joint in our ‘hood.
Sunday after grocery shopping my parents came down and helped with getting the baby’s room all set up. They even helped assemble the swing and high-chair! (Nana and Pop are very excited for this little guy -and we are so grateful for the help!)
So here it is, Menu Plan Monday already! I can already tell you that Sunday night’s dinner was a big hit! Here is the plan for this week:
Sunday – Homemade Fish and Chips
Monday– Meatless Monday! – Pasta with Creamy Tomato and Veggie Sauce, Garlic Bread
Tuesday – Indian Chicken, Rice and Veggie Pilaf
Wednesday – Stuffed Pork Chops, Broccoli Mac ‘n Cheese Casserole
Thursday – MIL arrives in town, dinner out or takeout
Friday/Weekend – Grilled Cheese, tater tots, veggie sticks
Lunches – We both have leftover pizza for Monday (mmmm) and after packing lunch for our class on Saturday, there are now PB&J fixin’s in the house for us both to use. The Hub also has some frozen options, and there will be leftover pasta from Monday’s dinner as well.
